End the noise and disturbance from Bushey Hall Farm

Bushey Hall Farm, Bushey Mill Lane

For more than three years, Bushey Lib Dems and local campaigners have fought to put a stop to the problems at Bushey Hall Farm, in Bushey Mill Lane, where the owners are running an industrial tarmac business without planning permission. Their lorries and machines create huge amounts of noise and disturbance, which blight the neighbourhood and cause misery for residents on daily basis.

However, two attempts to cease the tarmac operation - through a planning enforcement notice - have failed, due to repeated administrative errors by Hertsmere Borough Council officers. Those mistakes have allowed the farm's owners to continue operating in an unlawful manner.

Enough is enough. North Bushey's Lib Dem councillors are now demanding that Hertsmere council chiefs raise a new enforcement against the farm's owners within the next few weeks. You can read the full text of our letter here. And this time - as we've made plain - they must get it right.
