Hertsmere's Local Plan is out - What can YOU do? UPDATED

October 30, 2021 9:43 PM

4 things you can do to protect Hertsmere's Greenbelt graphic

First: you can send your comments on the plan using Hertsmere's consultation portal. We've prepared a "How To Guide" to help you navigate their tricky platform, see here. If you prefer, you can send comments in via email to local.plan@hertsmere.gov.uk or in the post addressed to Local Plan Consultation, Hertsmere Borough Council, Borehamwood WD6 9SR

Second: Sign our petitions. Either the Hertsmere-wide petition or the Bushey specific petition. You can also print out copies of the petition to collect signatures from your friends and neighbours.

Third: Join your neighbourhood campaign group or local green belt society - let us know of any we've missed

Fourth: Put pressure on the council leadership, and our MP. You can contact Cllr Morris Bright, the council leader, via the Hertsmere website. Oliver Dowden, MP for Hertsmere, is at oliver.dowden.mp@parliament.uk
